Jul 17, 2007·toe screwing ( like toe nailing) is something I do often. I highly recommend purchasing a # 8 Fuller countersink tapered drill bit with a 3/8 cutter to pre drill any hole. Then use a #8 x 3 inch screw. I use alot of 3 inch gold colored screws. Sometimes more screws than nails.
